Official Statement No. 8 – Independent third-party review of Cercarbono’s own methodologies

This statement invites authorised VVBs to submit proposals for an independent review of six Cercarbono methodologies, covering REDD+, reforestation, wetlands, renewable energy, landfill biogas, and fuel-shift in land transport. The review responds to requirements introduced in Protocol Version 4.2 and Procedures Version 2.0, which mandate that new versions of Cercarbono’s own methodologies undergo third-party assessment before publication.

He served as a senior official at Colombia’s Ministry of Environment, where he led the National Circular Economy Strategy and represented the country on the OECD’s Environmental Policy Committee.
