Building the foundation of a Latin American carbon standard
This report traces Cercarbono’s first four years, from its founding in Colombia in 2018 through 2021. It documents the growth of a rigorous certification framework grounded in ISO standards, the establishment of EcoRegistry as an independent blockchain-based registry, and the registration of 85 projects across five countries. It marks the beginning of Cercarbono’s journey from a national programme to an international standard.
