VALIDATION AND VERIFICATION BODY (VVB) APPROVAL PROCESS
Organizations seeking approval from Cercarbono to conduct validation and verification processes for climate change mitigation initiatives must adhere to specific procedures and fulfill outlined requirements as detailed in the Procedures of Cercarbono’s Certification Programme. Additionally, they are required to complete and submit the Application for Accreditation as a Validation and Verification Body.

VVB APPROVAL PROCESS
Request submission
The representative from the VVB can initiate the approval process by sending an email to info@cercarbono.com with the subject line «VVB Approval Request» and attaching the completed application form.

Application Review
The process begins upon receipt of a complete application. We conduct a thorough review of the criteria outlined in the application form.

Meeting Scheduling and Development
A meeting will be arranged between the VVB and Cercarbono to assess the VVB’s technical and operational capabilities.

Recommendation of Eligibility
Following the meeting, an internal evaluation will be conducted to determine whether the application should be rejected, conditionally accepted, or if additional information is needed.

Notification of evaluation of application
The VVB is notified of the result of Cercarbono’s internal evaluation.

Account creation in the registration platform
The VVB must have an account on the registration platform to carry out the validation and verification processes.

Signing of the collaboration agreement
The collaboration agreement is signed, formalizing the relationship between the VVB and Cercarbono.

Notification of final approval
The VVB is notified of official approval.

Explanatory note: The approval process of the VVBs has an estimated duration of 34 to 50 calendar days by Cercarbono, subject to the VVBs response times.
