Bogotá, October 30th– Cercarbono, a leading global environmental standard, has made significant progress toward achieving full alignment with the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA). ). Currently holding conditional approval, Cercarbono is dedicated to completing the necessary steps to meet all CORSIA requirements and aims to secure full approval in the near future.

Following procedural updates submitted in April 2024 as part of the Technical Advisory Body’s (TAB)assessment cycle, TAB has recommended that the Council acknowledge the progress made by Cercarbono in implementing previously requested actions. The organization is now pending the implementation of further actions requested by the Council. This positions Cercarbono favorably for the next steps in the CORSIA approval process.

As an international carbon standard committed to ensuring transparency, environmental integrity, and accountability, Cercarbono has worked diligently to align with CORSIA’s rigorous standards. This conditional approval reflects the progress made so far, with only a few outstanding requirements remaining to attain full compliance.
