WHAT IS THE CERCARBONO'S BIODIVERSITY CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME?
The Cercarbono’s Biodiversity Certification Programme aims to enable rapid action to address the current biodiversity crisis.
It takes a broad approach, covering different types of interventions and levels of biodiversity, with a focus on incentivising on-the-ground actions and rapid implementation while leaving room to improve metrics and rules over time based on lessons learned.
Independent Experts Panel
The Cercarbono Biodiversity Programme has a highly qualified Expert Panel whose role is to validate and verify the projects submitted.
This panel is made up of a diverse group of specialists with extensive experience in biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration, remote sensing and conservation finance.
All panel members have signed a Collaboration Agreement with Cercarbon that ensures their independence and declares no conflict of interest with any project. In addition, the panelists will enter into agreements with project developers, ensuring a transparent and objective review process.
