Seeking to actively engage in the most pertinent discussions surrounding climate change and leverage Cercarbono’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in the technical field, we were honored to take part in the Mexico Carbon Forum in August.
During this event, our CEO, Alex Saer, and our Programme Director, Jorge Plauchú, enthusiastically participated in all the forums and plenary sessions. The Mexico Carbon Forum serves as a crucial gathering of various stakeholders within the carbon market in the Americas. It provides a platform for open dialogues and collaborations with prominent international figures, all aimed at advancing voluntary carbon markets in the face of contemporary challenges.
Cercarbono played an active role in the discussion panel titled «Development of Projects under Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for the International Market.» In this session, we emphasized critical aspects related to the integrity of carbon credits and worked to strengthen our connections with key players in the Mexican carbon markets. Notably, we are recognized as a carbon standard for the state of Querétaro, the proud host of this event.
Additionally, our involvement extended to the forum titled «Evolution and Perspectives of the Carbon Market in Mexico: Review and Discussion of the Global, National, and Voluntary Market.» We eagerly participated in this forum as well, further cementing our commitment to advancing the carbon market in Mexico and beyond.
